My Dream

Pen Name: Big Spoon

My roommate and I were redecorating our dorm. We wanted a large rug in the middle of our room, and we wanted it to represent a balance between our tastes (purple/ blue, girly/ edgy, sentimental/ artistic, etc.) We decided we could obtain such a rug from Ikea, but ended up pulling out a rug from somewhere deep within our room. The rug was bright orange, a color that neither represents our tastes, nor matches anything in our room.

The bright orange rug which is representative of neither you or your roomate's tastes is a symbol of compromise between you and your roomate's very different styles. It would have probably been more difficult for you to find a rug that you both like equally, and therefore you were able to obtain one that you both dislike equally. Thus, you both are even. Many situations will come as the year progresses in which you and your roomate will have to compromise to a decision which fits equally to you both.
You are probably experiencing some anxiety or worry about how the rest of the year will turn out.

Keep in mind that you found the rug deep within your room instead of at Ikea, which signifies that you don't need to travel far to settle differences between you and your roomate. The solution to any problems you to may face are probably right in front of you (or within your room).
