Question 4

Our ruler lab results do not support the idea that humans are like machines. First, because it was another human and I completing this experiment, there were times where we would have a false start or a total mis-read and I would innaccurately predict the ruler dropping and miss completely. While my times did improve over the trials, there were several instances where I made great reactions and timed my partner's drops perfectly. This is different from machines because they don't twitch or mis-read and are consistent in performing a given task without major miscues (such as missing the ruler dropping.
