ruler lab

I think this lab supports humans as machinery because the way we work to perform a task of catching a pen has many steps in our body like a machine. Without even thinking about it our body watches the pen drop and without us consciously telling our fingers to try to catch it, they just react and try to catch it. In a way its like a machine because one thing leads to another and all works together. We don't consciously think about each step in the process but it all works together like one machine. We can think of practice and the improvement as fine tuning the machinery.

Fine tuning the machinery is done by people (at least right now).  There are no machines currently which can self-correct.  This is something that no machine has but every human does.  How is it a parallel to machines if there is something (perhaps the most important part) which does not match?
