I feel like this lab clearly demonstrated that humans are not machines, and rarely can be totally consistent with even the most basic of actions, like catching a ruler or reacting to an object. It's amusing to watch my roommate try and catch that "damn stick" more quickly, and yet still post sporadic times no matter what he does. Definitely not machine-like quality. I'm sure some people seem just like machines when you look at their lives, doing the same things day in and day out, but in the end we aren't very terminator-esque.
