My earliest memories are around age two-and-a-half. At that time, my dad was a consultant who traveled full-time, and my mom had just given birth to twins.I can distinctly remember helping her by doing various chores like answering the phone, making my own lunches, and bringing her blankets and diapers for the babies.
I see myself as having similar tendencies to the ones I had at that young age.My behavior then was mature and industrious and, at this point in my life, I feel those are still areas of strength for me.However, I am not the same person I was then.My tastes, experiences, and view of life have all drastically changed (for the better I hope).
While this person's memory showed the maturity of their young age, mine definitely showed young innocence. However, i think our earliest memories can connect in a way of independence. This person learned to do things for themselves at such a young age and i had a mindset that i knew what i wanted and i wasn't willing to back down. I was independent in thoughts, i wasn't going to follow the crowd just for the sake of fitting in and being let into the "playhouse". Also, i like how this person took matters into their own little hands. I can see some children yearning for their mothers attention with the arrival of new babies, but this person became a helper and in turn independent.
