Earliest Memory

My earliest memory takes place in my living room when I believe myself to have been between one or two. I can remember the specific scene of lying on my back on a blanket that was pink and was printed with bunnies on clouds. I would reach up to hit the baby toys dangling from a structure and they would make jingling sounds. I can clearly remember that the structure was lined with padding and was pattern with black and white stripes. Nothing about the memory is extraordinary at all and its too early to relate my personality then to how I am now.

I think it's fascinating that you're able to remember memories from the age of 1-2. I think it's very appropriate that this memory is very focused on the color, sounds, and texture of your surroundings, as it would probably have been too early for your mind to develop tangible thoughts that could be verbalized. Having a memory filled with only sensory information seems appropriate for this age.
