early memory

username:jasonBourne

The first thing that I can remember and place a definite age on occured when I was 5. I had moved a town over and was visiting my friends house in my old neighborhood. I am about to jump in his pool in early spring to be the first one. His dad calls me crazy and I smile like its a compliment and dive into the freezing water.
I probably remember this instance because I was visiting my first friend after I had moved away and I was a moment of personal pride for me then that my 5 year old self associated with courage.

It seems like me that I would have liked this backward sort of praise but reflecting on the actual person doesn' t seem like me. It's like I'm remembering a 90's movie clip.

I have other clips of memories but have no way of knowing their chronological order and each is only about 15 seconds long.

This is a very entertaining memory. Nice job recapping what happenned. Age five seems slightly late for a first memory though. My first one took place before my first birthday. I guess it is just differs from person to person.
