My Earliest Memory

Approximate Age: 3

The circumstance that make this memory memorable despite my age is in a word, shock. I was standing, looking in a mirror. At the time i was having my hair(had not had first haircut yet) styled by my parents. I remember one of my parents laughing hysterically as I looked in the mirror and saying that I look like a girl. I remember my reaction was something like a scream. I don't know if I have slightly earlier memories than that because this particular memory stands out as opposed to the daily routine of watching television and playing with toys.

My personality then is not the same as it is now. I can almost visualize myself grow older and see myself change. I would imagine the core of my personality is the same, however experience has molded my personality, perspective, and outlook.

What's interesting is the same thing happened to my little brother, which I guess makes it that much easier to remember this memory. I am also sure that I haven't mixed my brother's experience with my own.
