Earliest Memory

pen name:
kyle

Here's one of my earliest memories:

It was one of the first days of pre-school. I must have been about 4 years old. My mom had given a turquoise pencil to use at school. I must have said something mean to this kid named Russel Alterman. He was really annoying. He took my turquoise pencil and snapped it in half. I started crying and the teacher scolded him and comforted me. I never really liked Russel after that.

This was one of the first times I had cried in front of people without my mother or father being with me. I guess that made it kind of memorable.

I'm pretty confident that I wouldn't break out crying if this were to happen now, but I would definitely be upset. I can definitely see a little bit of my current self in my 4 year old self.

It's like you said, memorable probably beacuse it was the first time you cried in front of people without your parents being around. In my earliest memory, I am crying as well.
