Studies have shown that infants raised by healthy parents with strong socioeconomic standing are more likely to be classified as securely attached than infants brought up in relatively unstable situations. These children are generally raised by authoritative parents and experience security and joy throughout infancy. As adolescents, they are exposed to the same stable situation. Therefore, the same factors that caused these children to be well-adjusted infants may cause them to become well-adjusted adolescents and adults. In this case, social well-being is not caused by infancy attachment level; rather, its explained by parenting style and childhood environment.
This is a good, plausible explanation for the correlation between a secure upbringing and a satisfactory adult life. I would also like to add that parents who are supportive also encourage their children to strive for excellence, which leads to more fulfillment.
I also agree with this post. Social class is one of the most crucial causes of this link between childhood attachment and social well-being. The attachment itself depends on how it is initiated, and on how willing the parents are to create this attachment based on their motivational standing, which then depends on the environment they themselves have been reared in.
I too this that this is definitely a plausible explanation. I believe that factors such as physical and emotional well-being of a child also contributes to the development of the child and to his/her later development. Thus having healthy parents with strong socioeconomic standing, if nothing else, will at least ensure that the child will provided with a stable environment where basic needs and necessities are met.
