While I do agree that your childhood can have a large impact on your development as an individual, it is important to mention that there are other factors involved.  Take, for example, the quality of life a child has.  How will parents that freely spend money rank against parents that don't express their love for you?  In addition, factors such as schooling, siblings, and friends can shape how a child develops.  Because of this, there are way too many variables to properly determine correlation or causation.

I agree with what you are saying. While a child does have that stage where he is always around his parents, at a certain point he will start spending less and less time at home and more time in the outside world. During this time is when he will get influenced most by those around him. This can cause a major change in the way a child develops and their final outcome.

I agree with you, there are several variables that contribute to the personality and life quality of an individual. While a close attachment to a mother during the first stage of one's life is important it is not the only aspect that determines whether someone will live a happy life or not. In addition, one's experiences in school, with friends, and in the outside world all contribute to how one will perceive the world and will help determine someone's well-being in the future.
