Many studies suggested that children who were securely attached tend, later on, to be able to better understand other peoples emotions and show more helping and concern for peers, and are also less aggressive with others. This may be true for the early stage of the child development, but there are factors other than the secure attachment that can greatly influence the behavior of the children and their later life. I think attachment is definitely an underlying factor that influences ones behavior, but the effect of the attachment is more intuitive one whereas any individual can behave consciously different. For example, a secure attached child can change completely about the understanding of trust if certain incident happen in the later stage of the life or even simply someone else tells him differently about the trust. In other word, if the conditions (i.e. materialistically or emotionally speaking) changes, a child would not act according to the effect of the attachment.
