While  I agree that secure attachment generally leads to positive outcome later in life, it is not necessarily the cause. The environment in which the child was raised is just as important as the attachment to the caregiver. Differences in past experiences or upbring may cause difficulties in forming positive social relationships as kids are not the most accepting at times. This could result in axiety or insecurity in social situations later in life but could still  have a secure attachment to the parents.
