Development Issues: Attachment Lab

Attachment plays a large role in the mental development of a child, but doesn't guarantee a higher well-being in life. Children who have a stronger attachment to their parents do tend to be more out-going and receptive to other people's emotions. They show these characteristics because their parents were able to supply them with these emotions and to teach them how to react in these types of situations. However there are many other factors that can influence attachment and whether or not these children will have a high well-being in life. These other variables can be the environment they grow up in, changing outlook as one gets older, and peers who aren't securely attached. There are so many things that could go wrong despite the ability to become securely attached.
