There other factors that can explain the correlation between attachment style and higher well-being later in life, such as the environment the child is brought up in. Children who are securely attached possess a greater ability to relate to their environment, and depending on the environment, this will affect them later on in life. Growing up in a better environment would affect the child's life, possibly giving him higher well-being than another child growing up in a poorer environment.
