I believe that a child's secure attachment to a parent of primary caregiver influences the well being of the child's future. According to Bowlby's internal working model of the social work, the child's secure attachment to their parent(s) can be viewed as an example for the child to lead a successful and secure relationship later in their future. However, I also believe that the environment influences the development of a child as well. For example, even though a child develops strong, secure attachment to his/her parent(s), if the family suffers financially and the child does not receive the adequate education, this can indirectly affect the child's development. In another scenario, if there is domestic violence present in the household, the child's attachment would be affected in both IV and DV.
