I think that the amount of peer interaction a person has can be an alternative explanation. While a lot can be told about a young child by their interaction with their parents, similar can be said about the influence of how much and what type of interaction they have with their peers.
I agree with this statement because children often listen and follow other adults and chidren in ther surrounding which can influence them unconsciously/consciously in our class. For example if you ever see freinds with the same attribute becuase if that happens, most likely, they process and have the same mannerisms. code name: theblacksheep
I'm not sure that peer interaction is a cause of secure attachment to the caregiver. A child most usually interacts with caregivers almost exclusively early on. Peer interaction only occurs much later in life. Thus, while it may reinforce certain notions the child already has, I don't think peer interaction is responsible for the child's attachment style (which is formed long before significant peer interaction).
