Developmental Issues: Attachment Lab

I wonder whether in which position(?) you are placed among your siblings have some influence on the IV and DV. I suppose I don't know the good word for it; I meant to describe whether being the n-th child in the family have influence on the person's development. I am not sure if this is the same way throughout the globe, but the first child [like me], may recieve much more pressure to do better in school or "behave" better [by recieving more punishment than the sibling on same mistake] and is, most of the time, placed in a position where he/she is the first one to do something "new" [first to attend school, first to go to high school, first one to get jobs, etc]. And according to my sister, the middle child, often feels left out when the third child comes along. As a possible result(?), me and my sister have extremely varying personality as well as very different threshhold of what makes us "angry", or other emotional responces. This probably means the number of child in the family could have influence on the development as well. For example, development of a single child and a child from a family with 4 children may differ.
