I had a dream a few nights ago, that my friends and I decided that we wanted to go on a road trip. The six of us packed our bags (and ourselves) into a dark green Jeep, which isn't that big for six people... Our destination was Las Vegas. We were following the directions given to us by the handy-dandy Garmin GPS. Unfortunately, that handy-dandy GPS was not so handy-dandy, for we landed in Miami instead of our desired destination. But we didn't care, we were having fun. We eventually came across a group of kids from Miami that were going on a road trip to Vegas too. What a coincidence! Then somehow, without driving, we majically arrived at Las Vegas, Nevada. Dreams are weird...
When I read your dream, I felt very carefree. I think that this dream shows you how wonderful your friends are and the friendship you have with them. It sounds like you six had fun just because you were together, and that made getting lost fun. I think this dream is trying to tell you two things. First, I think that you believe that life is about the journey and not the destination. Second, that even though you may get lost, you'll eventually end up where you're meant to be. What a great dream!
I loved your dream. I always feel like traveling to other places with my closest group of friends but I'm too scared to go to an unknown place. Maybe this whole dream was about your impulsive side of wanting to travel that you haven't achieved yet? I feel like you getting lost in the middle of your journey symbolizes your fear of your unplanned traveling plans coming to a fail but I liked your ending :)!
I think your road trip symbolized your journey to college. You are (presumably) going far away from home, to a new and exciting place. However, your GPS led you to a different place; perhaps you wanted to attend a school besides CMU, or perhaps your parents wanted you to. But either way, you found your way to a place that you are having fun at. In the end, you, your friends, and your new friends from Miami all find yoruselves in Las Vegas. Perhaps, even though you were not where you had imagined you would end up, you still are just as happy about being here at CMU. 'Las Vegas' is just an ideal, an experience that you wanted out of college, and you have achieved that even by travelling to 'Miami' IE CMU.
