Earliest Memory

My earliest memory: When I was three years old, I lived in Erie, PA. I was outside in the backyard playing with my friends. I went inside to look for my parents but I couldn't find them. It made me really upset when I couldn't find them so I started running down the street looking for them. I remember crying. Eventually they found me. They had gone on a walk.

I specifically remember this because I was scared they had left me.

I never remember not being able to identify myself. They way I think has always been the same but I can identify with myself as a whole the closest since the end of seventh grade.

My memory is similar to yours in that I had that scared feeling of being alone. I was scared to try something new by myself and being alone in doing it. I needed a friend with me. I also have many memories of me crying because I thought my parents left me somewhere and was scared.
