Earliest Memory

I was probably about two and a half years old when I was at my weekly dance class at Carol Leone's Gymnastics and Dance Center. We were learning how to do grande jete basics, which at that time consisted of jumping from one star spraypainted on the floor to the next. I kept getting really frustrated because I couldn't make it all the way from one star to the next, and my foot would land an inch or so from the point I wanted it to be at.

There's nothing particulry interesting about this memory, but it definitely displays some aspects of who I am today. While I don't really think I'm the same person I was (personal growth, changing ideas over the years), I've always been very serious and goal-oriented. I still get frustrated today if I'm bad at something or can't do something, so it's funny to remember being that way as a kid, too. This definitely displays some aspects of "me," like I said, but I feel like I'm still constantly changing. The farthest I can go back and still feel like the same person is a few months, maybe, and a few months from now that may not be true anymore.
