memory lab

one of my earliest memories is of my mom putting neon bandaids on my face because I had fell and scraped it somehow. She put really big bandaids on the cuts and they were neon pink and green, and when I went to pre school, one of the kids said that I looked like a robot and it traumatized me. I was so embarassed I took off the bandaids and walked around with exposed cuts.

This is a little different from the current me because I would not take off the bandaids, but if someone were to comment on my appearance I would probably take it personally still and be upset.

This memory is very interesting. It is similar to mine because mine also involved my mother's reaction to a situation. It relates to the course because it demonstrates stimulus generalization. In other words, the fact that you were traumatized by being called a robot has caused you to still worry about people commenting on your appearance today.
