Earliest Memory Lab

My earliest memory is from my first year of preschool, so I must have been three years old.  We had "Bring Your Dad To School Day" and my Dad took the day off so he could come with me.  There were arts and crafts and special activities all day, but the best one was pretending we were shaving our dad's faces with shaving cream.  I remember being in the classroom across the hall from mine and putting a smock around my dad's neck and slathering shaving cream on his face.  Then we took popsicle sticks and pretended they were razors and wiped all the shaving cream off.  I remember wearing a blue dress and having Alice in Wonderland tights on.

I think I remember this distinctly because it was such a special day for me and I thought it was so cool that my dad was coming to school with me.  The sensory aspect enhances it as well, the shaving cream is a key part of that memory.

I don't feel as if the person who experienced this memory is someone different from me, but I don't feel particularly connected to it either.  My identity has obviously changed, but I recognize the little girl in preschool as me.

I definetly have memories from preschool also, and it makes sense that you would remember such a special day in particular. I remember we had a daddy-daughter dance when I was in preschool and I remember wearing my favorite pink dress and dancing on the tops on my fathers feet.

I also remember when my parents would come to preschool with me. I remember the times they came to pick me up and to my shows more so than any other memories in preschool. All my younger memories are all just sensory without much verbal thought.

I also have a similar earliest memory. I remember my grandma going to my classroom with me the first day of 1st grade.

This is probably a memory you remember because it was a earliest memory where you bonded with your dad.
