My earliest memory was playing with my best friend and brother in my neighborhood. We decided to start rolling around in the street. I have no idea why we did this, but we found it amusing then. I was about 4 years old then. There were no extraordinary circumstances from the incident other than it being an atypical thing for kids to do for fun. I think my personality is still quite the same. I think I am adventurous and willing to try new things. I think those aspects of my personality are demonstrated in the incident. I know my brother and my friend also remember this incident. I do not know if it also is their first memory.
It's interesting that this memory took place when you were 4. Mine does as well, and it seems many of the posts on the forum are from that time period. My memory is related to this memory because mine is also of playing with my sibling and best friends. Maybe there is some reason that we remember these particular scenes with our closest friends so vividly, like that we're more inclined to remember something that is close to our heart.
That is so weird that you say that you think you are still like yourself in this memory because that is exactly the way I feel. I feel like my personality hasn't changed at all since my first memory which is weird to think about, but the fact that someone else thinks the same thing makes me feel like I'm not just crazy for thinking that either.
I think we more easily remember things when we have fun. One of my earliest memories was digging holes for fun in the garden with my friends. Experiences with friends seem to be easy to remember because we remember our friends and the memories of our experiences come with it.
