Earliest Memory Lab

The earliest memory I have is from when I was approximately 5 years old, which was when I was kindergarten. I remember we used to have nap-time during the middle of day but I would never nap. I never knew what the purpose of napping was because I was never tired. Therefore, nap-time for me was extremely boring. At first, I just laid on my mat not doing anything. In time, I found out I could nap close to where all the toys were and play with anything I wanted to. But, of course, there was a catch. Getting to one of those spots was very difficult since all the other boys would get there first. It was a struggle every day but eventually, on lucky days, I would get one of those spots. Suddenly, nap-time became much more enjoyable for me.

I would say my identity now is similar to as it was then. I am still that thrill-seeking little boy who always tries to have fun wherever that may be. Of course, I am much more disciplined now because I have a lot more responsibilities. But every now and then, I would take opportunities to do things I find enjoyable and free myself from any worries I have; just for the sake of being a little kid again.

Most of my early memories are from when i was in early grade school too. Mine are very choppy though. I only remember bits like playing with toys or on the jungle gym, but never full scences or stories. I think that all of those days were so repeatative  that its hard to pull out one specific memory.
