earliest memory lab

My earliest memory is me when I was two or three years old. I was pointing to my dad's old car outside of our old apartment in Istanbul and clutching to my toy with the other hand. I remember my dad was in front of me. My memory is really bad actually I usually do not remember anything before kindergarden except this one memory. I think how I was able to remember this one was because I saw a photo of this scene with my dad standing right beside his old car and remembered of that moment of when I was two and somehow I still remember that moment. I have no idea what significance it has.

This is very similar to my earliest memory, which involved my dad holding me (I was around 3) outside our partially constructed house. You mentioned that you don't remember anything else from that time period - it is the same for me. This one, short-spanned memory is the only memory of me at an age below 5. I don't know the significance of my memory either; perhaps it has something to do with being close to our fathers?
