I think genetics could be a reason that children who have more secure attachment have better well-being in their later lives. Perhaps genes that allow children to easily have more secure attachment also helps them acquire the social skills needed to fare well in later life. Environment could also be a factor, because those that live in secure attachment-fostering environments would perhaps also benefit from the environment in gaining the things needed for better well-being later in life.
