Different people have different personalities; it is possible that the baby's personality is to be more outgoing and happy, which is a general trait that also is seen as positive later in life. It is also possible that environment could play a role in that families who encourage secure attachment behavior are also just more friendly people, teaching their kids to be friendly and independent at whatever age they are.
