Attachment/development lab

The child may have a predisposed level of sociability. This is a 3rd variable not dependent on his type of attachment to his mother. As a consequence of being more sociable, a child may exhibit secure attachment to his mother as an infant, be a better playmate as a toddler, and have close friends as a teenager, while a less sociable child might ignore his mother, playmates and would-be friends later in life.
