I believe that attachment style does have an impact on a child's well being in the future but other dynamics in the child's life has reasonable effect as well. For example, if the child was bullied by other students in school or grew up in a household where there was abuse or intense arguing between the parents, their welfare could definitely be affected.
I agree in that a child's well being is based on how they perceive their relationship with the world. This would mean that the child is truly effected by any prevalent memory. Not only is the child effected by everything they learn from, but how this affects the child cannot even be accurately predicted as positive or negative because a child's temperament, caused by genetics or otherwise, could influence how the child reacts to these events. If the child is a very anxious child when separated from their parent but has a very aggressive, or at least confrontational, personality, light bullying might cause the child to develop a solid independence when away from their parents by learning to deal with the bully's independently.
