There could be a very strong correlation among the amount of time a mother and a father each spend with their child(ren) and how secure the child(ren) feel. It is possible that not having been taken care of enough as a child can lead to people losing focus of what is important in life and eventually downgrading their wellbeing.
I definitely agree with this. Time spent with children is so vital to their learning. That is how they learn many of their most basic skills. The time spent could also ensure that they will have a secure attachment style, since the baby will know that they can rely on the parent to be there for them in times of need! Thats a great confounding variable.
I agree with your idea, since more time with a child can lead to closer bonding and thus, more security. In addition, without spending enough time with the child, the child isn't able to learn what is important in life from his parents, which could carry over into adulthood.
I agree with this explanation. A child who does not originally exhibit a secure attachment style, but has parents that spend a lot of time with him/her, will eventually develop a secure attachment style. Learning this will continue to affect later relationships and consequently, improve well-being.
