The type of attachment as a young child does not have to be the cause of well- being later on in life . Instead, the attachment style and well-being could both be by products of a healthy relationship. So the healthy relationship allows for the child to be attached securely and lends to a higher well-being in life later on. Therefore, the relationship is the independent variable and both attachment style and well-being are dependents.

I would agree with that often a child learns from the parents example. Theres a warmth that comes with a happy and healthy relationship and this warmth seems to have a good influence on the child. They feel attachment without the protecting urges and there is a contentment. This seems to have a positive influence later in life as kids wish to emulate this warmth.
