Another possible explanation as to why such a variable as attachment style and upbringing may influence an individual in their adult life is the circumstances and surroundings under which the child was raised. The child could have been raised in an environment where he or she had a lot of family and friends who cared about the child. Under these circumstances, the positive and healthy environment could have encouraged the childs behavior in addition to the way in which the caregiver raised the child. On the other hand, a negative environment where people may act hostile towards or around the child may have emotionally scared the child. As a result, the child may attempt to avoid any negative behavior or circumstances similar to what the child was surrounded by during its upbringing which can have a positive influence on their attitude and actions as an adult.
