Attachment Lab

pen name: hakuna matata

One aspect of family that could impact later adjustment is the presence/absence of siblings. For example, an only child always has his or her mothers attention all the time, so it would be easy to develop a secure attachment and thus lead to better adjustment later in life. On the other hand, a youngest child doesn't get their parents' full attention for their first year of life, so they might not be able to have as secure of an attachment.
