I think that a child with secure attachment who exhibited leadership skills at toddler-age, had close friends and was popular among their peers could very well lose those leadership skills, find it difficult to make good friends and be generally liked, and possibly even develop an anxiety disorder during childhood or adolescence if they are removed from that early situation and thrust into a completely new environment (new school, etc.) with the childs counterparts. It would be even more stressful for the child because they would go back home to that secure environment and be upset that things in their new situation arent how they were in their old environment.
I completely agree with Swenson the stress of a new environment accompanied by memories of one's old, and seemingly better environment can erode any of the qualities due to secure attachment. Pen name: Peachy
