I believe that another variable that can greatly affect a child's attachment and how they turn out later in life is the kind of family that they grow up in. I think that a child who is securely attached is probably part of a family where the parents are happily married and give the necessary attention to their child. Theses parents most likely raised their children in a more ideal fashion than those parents who have children who are not securely attached.
