I dreamed that I had been doing something on a sunny day in a random field with people I had never seen, though exactly what I was doing remains unclear. A television station asked our group to perform some sort of shout-out to the location we were in, a place called Black Stone Island, Pennsylvania. I then commented on the existence of a firefly. One of the men in the group I was with was older and dressed in tattered clothing, with balding gray hair.
For some reason, that shout-out never occurred and the dream shifted more towards following the older man, whose name was Thomas Gould Gornick. He was famous for something, but once again, what that something is is unclear. He was playing with children by a riverbank when he slapped one of them for an unknown reason. The girl he slapped started crying but was quickly placated by yet another unknown something. Soon after, Gornick lay down with his hands crossed over his chest and slept. Immediately following was what appeared to be some sort of epitaph, saying something about Gornick's influence on students, Europe, and the Internet. This epitaph was filled with terrible misspellings, such as Internet being spelled etert. Still, I was somehow able to surmise the meaning of the words. The implication was that Gornick had died. The dream ended at this point.
This was a pretty strange dream, but nothing compared to some of the other ones I've had in the past that I unfortunately can no longer remember very well.
