My dream starts out in a car with my brother. I cannot seem to recall the past but something tells me that we had a fight of some sorts. It's not very awkward. Then I start driving in what resembles something in between a racing course and a highway. I cannot tell if we are going anywhere or circling but we seem to be driving for a while. At one point, he dares me to go faster and faster. We get incredibly fast; clearly faster than any normal car would allow. All of a sudden though, I cannot seem to make a turn. We literally fly off the curve. I seem to be freaking out, my brother is just silent.
This dream in my opinion expresses how with your transition into college you may be having some sort of realization of your life rushing past you and also the understanding of the relationships that you have with your family, I personally find this dream a little disturbing seeing the indifference of your brother to your current condition.
The raceway/highway portion of the dream seems to indicate an atmosphere of tension or anxiety.
The lack of path... may be your uncertainty about where you're travelling in life. In college, where your career direction is (for the most part) decided, perhaps you are not certain which direction to take or how you will end up. The uncertainty may be the cause of tension.
Losing control of the car might be your fear of losing control of your life (such as career goals).
Perhaps you are trying to appease the fight you had with your brother by doing what he urges. (Do you find yourself doing that sometimes? After an argument, do you try hard to win the other party's affection back?)
Pen name: blue I think this dream is indicating that you are not yet settled in a new environment. The whole race of the cars feels frightening that you don't know where the cars are heading to. Maybe, you had a conflict with someone here already, so this scene can be a metaphor of your memory. Also, since you don't have your parents or family here, you might be worried that there is no one beside you here.

I think that the fact that you are driving down a racecourse/highway might mean that you are unsure of your path in life and are worried that things are moving too quickly. This may cause the feeling of tension in the dream that becomes associated with your brother. Maybe you feel that you are not truly ready to start off college on your own and do not want to leave your family behind. I also think that your brother's indifference is because he has already gone through this process and is not worried because he knows you will be fine, and that he will be by your side to help you if you need.
