dream - trying to get away

I dream that I'm in my house and someone is trying to break in. I duck down behind the door and hide, but eventually they break in. I run out the backdoor and try to get away. As I'm running down my street, I know they are near me so I start to fly. The problem with when I fly is that I can't control how long I fly for or how high. So I start off by taking leaps into the air as they get closer but I can't stay in the air long enough, I keep falling back down onto the ground and they're still chasing me. As I run to the end of my street and keep trying to fly, I finally am staying off the ground but I'm going higher than I want to and I end up flying so high into the sky that I don't know where I am and landing in another place. I'm relieved that I'm away from whoever was chasing me but now I have no clue where I am!

This dream could just be a dream, but it could also represent a real life situation where something is in the way of something you want to achieve. They are trying to chase you away from your goal, causing you to lose control and to go in the wrong direction. When you finally get away from your pursuers, you find that you dont even know where you are anymore, and your destination seems to be a million miles away. This could represent a time in your life when you were trying to achieve a goal but you were turned in the wrong direction by life events/people and ended up in a place so far away from your original goal that you were just lost.
