My Dream

Pen Name: R.E.M.

I went mountain climbing with a couple of close friends to a snow covered mountain back home (even though there is no snow back home). We met up with a few other guys from our class, who I do not know very well, and some other friends of theirs. I was nervous about the trip we were going by ourselves and there would not be people waiting for us on the mountain or climbing experts. I was also worried because I had previously climbed (in another dream) a huge, snowy mountain all the way to the top, and it was a scary activity, especially watching friends do it. I packed up my bag well, while we were leaving for the mountain trail, so that I would not have to carry anything. We started climbing and had a few slips, but nothing fatal. My friends were in front and I was behind in the group, so once we settled for a break in front of a huge, half frozen pond, I got up and walked to the front to meet with my two close friends. We started talking about the mountain, while my other friend remained quiet. I then realized he had been frozen stiff, so I moved him and tried to get him to snap out of it, which he did.

From what I read I believe that you have had many experiences in the past during the winter with your friends, which you really enjoy. And since the dream took place at home with a lot of close friends, homesickness is prevalent in the dream. And as a group, you were able to take on the obstacle of climbing the mountain. The friend freezing up part is a little confusing however.
