Well after doing this lab, I think humans are fundamentally different from machines. We defiantly are not as accurate as machines. I did not get the same reaction time throughout the 8 trials. Instead, my time fluctuated a lot. This shows humans are not machine like; we are not rigid, we allow room for error. In terms of improvement, my average time did improve compared to my base line time. This also supports the argument that humans differ from machines because we can improve. Machines can only function the way they are programmed to function, they have no brain of their own, and so they do not fluctuate or make errors. This lab does not support Gleitman's view.
