I am not like a machine because I demonstrated the very human-like quality of inconsistency. My times varied wildly. Had I been a machine, whether I had been focusing on the stimulus or my response, my times would have stayed (much closer to) exactly the same.

I agree that the lack of a pattern in the results show how inconsistent and unpredictable human reactions can be, whereas machines often act in a more regulated way. However, my results, while varying in order, remained around the same number and this could be attributed to a machine completing tasks in a similar way and showing consistency. No matter the results it is true that humans do you not have as much consistency or regularity as a machine intended to do something repeatedly in the same manner.

This was pretty small sample set. Perhaps with very large sample sets we would observe less inconsistency.
