My earliest memory occurred when I was 8 years old. I was in third grade, and in class, we had a math competition. It was a head-to-head competition and our teacher would hold up a flashcard with a simple multiplication problem. The objective was to be the first one to correctly solve the problem, and the first get 4 correct won.Up until this point, I had consistently won each competition and had defeated everyone in class. However, this time I lost to one of my classmates. I remember being very upset after this incident....what a nerd
This memory is the same identity as me because I am still a nerdy, math student.

This memory most likely sticks for you for two reasons. First, you remember the joy of success in defeating your classmates in the flashcard game. The second reason though is the disappointment in being defeated. It is natural to remember times of extreme emotion, in this case happiness and embarrassment.
