My earliest memory is from about age 3. It was when my next door neighbor was moving in and I was in my room where I could see what was happening out the window. I vividly remember trying to lean out to see as much as I could and asking my mom if we could go meet them. We walked over later that afternoon and found them sitting on their steps. This is particularly memorable for me because my neighbor is now my best friend so I probably remember it because it has come up again and again throughout the years. Although my personality has definitely changed a lot I still feel like the same person and can recognize this younger version of myself as me.
I also recalled, what I believe to be, the first time I met close friends. In my memory I distinctly remember thinking that they were both new people to me, but I still feel it was a fun day and it probably gave life to our friendship. This type of memory is probably very important to people, which is why it can be remembered so easily.
