I think there is a correlation between a childs attachment to the primary caregiver and well-being later in life. However, I dont think attachment itself determines the future happiness of the child. There are many other factors that can influence a child in their environment, such as the neighborhood they grow up in or the school they go to, to simply attribute a childs well-being in life to the relationship to their caregiver. While their relationship to their caregiver might serve as a guide to how they later form relationships with other people, their environment may also influence them. For example, even if a child is securely attached to their parent, they may experience other negative events in life that have an effect on their well being. Therefore, a childs secure attachment may help their well-being in life, but not guarantee it.
I agree with this student; there is a relationship between the childs attachment to their caregiver and their well-being later in life.I also agree that the type of attachment guarantees a certain well-being in life.I believe that the environment and experience has a influence as this student said in her example about the neighborhood the child grew up in or what school they went to.
