the relationship between attachment at childhood and well being later on in life could be largely biological.  Children may have genetic factors which affect the chemical balance in their brain.  it is possible that children with genes predisposed to a better balance may form more secure attachments in childhood and have greater well being later in life.  In this case, attachment would be a second DV and the IV would be genes.
