Earliest Memory Lab

My earliest memory is from when I was around a year old. I see my dad rocking me in my crib and singing to me. I still remember what he was saying, as in the sounds but not words. He was wearing a white T-shirt. The only problem is tht I do not know if this memory is real or not, especiallyconsidering how young I was, but I have had it with me for as long as I can remember. It does not really show my personality except that I felt safe with my dad, and I still do.

The greatest similarity between our memories is that both of us had our dad portrayed in them in some way. In your case, your dad seems to have been a source of comfort and safety. For me, I felt a different sort of connection in knowing that I was not alone (in this case, in my inability to stomach airplane flights when I was little). It's amazing to me that you're able to remember something from so long ago, but that might be because it's particularly emotional (in the comforting sense).
