I was in the playground of my local preschool (while I was attending it) and it was the middle of winter. There was snow all over the ground and I was rolling a huge (relative to me) snowball to make a snowman. I was most likely 3 years old. I remember this because I was so proud to have made a snowball almost as tall as me without the help of an adult.
I'm definitely not the same person I was at that point in time, and I know that my personality has changed greatly, but I still feel a connection to her, because if I hadn't been that little girl, I wouldn't have the experiences I had had that ultimately shaped me into the person I am now.
I remember how much fun making snowmen was and I know exactly what you mean when you said you felt accomplished making a huge snowball. We used to have competitions in my family for who could make the largest snowman base, the winner got the first hot chocolate mug.
I agree with your statement about your personality; experiences really shape how you ultimately see yourself and view the world. At such a young age, I'm not sure we grasp the idea of a personality and as we grow older I think it becomes more important to us to have one that we helped to define.
