Earliest Memory Lab

Ethan Pfeifer
Section I - Julie Eckstrom

My earliest memory is from when I was about two and a half or three. I had a rainforest pop-up book which also had little paper tabs that you could pull to make the animals move. This black-haired boy whom I recall but didn't like tore my book, and I was very upset and annoyed that he tore it and wouldn't bring any books to daycare afterwards. I think I remember this memory because I was upset about the book tearing, but also because about a year later, the same kid accidentally hit me with a block and I had to get stitches (and I remember the stitches incident fairly clearly).

I would not consider myself to be the same person that I was then, although when I talked to my dad about these memories, the attitudes he told me I had then seem very similar to some of the basic attitudes I have now.
