Earliest Memory Lab

My first memory is when I was 2, when I got a 2nd degree water burn on my leg. I remember that my mom and my grandma were giving me a sponge bath in the sink of a guest bathroom. I was standing in the sink, looking at the bathtub, and then at the mirror, and then down at the faucet handle (I suppose this was the half second before I burnt myself ^^; ). I remember reaching down with my right hand and turning the faucet (it was one of those single knob ones) all the way to the right. Then, my memory turns white and mute, and the rest afterwards is mostly a blur, although I know that's how I gave my legs a water burn.

I suppose that back then, I wasn't quite old enough to develop a personality. I think I can trace my personality back to about when I was 4, playing with legos.

After looking at a lot of the other posts your memory stands out by how young you were when you experienced it and the detail with which you remember such an early memory. I suppose that the experience of getting a second degree burn could be why this memory stands out so much and could be a reason for why you were able to remember a memory of such a young age. I suppose the memory of actually being burned could be a repressed memory since it seems like it was painful and your memory of the moments leading up to the burn was so vivid. Of course the idea of it being a repressed memory could is just conjecture. Nevertheless remembering a memory of such a young age is quite remarkable especially with such a vivid description.
